So says a new survey.<\/div>\n<p>Every movie involving a fratboy-type, <strong>married<\/strong> male lead will brush upon the most clich\u00e9d stereotype of monogamy\u2014that once we say &#8220;I do,&#8221; we stop having <strong>sex<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Well, apparently sex isn&#8217;t all we stop having. A new survey revealed that nearly one in five\u00a0married <strong>couples<\/strong> go without kissing for as long as one week at a time.<\/p>\n<p>And when they do finally lock lips, it will last no longer than five seconds for 40 percent of them.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ym_1003415940242979181\" class=\"ym\">How you could go an entire week without kissing your spouse is mind boggling. Granted, these results are based on the British population\u2014the survey was sponsored by the British Heart Foundation\u2014but how different are our countries when it comes to kissing, really?<\/div>\n<div class=\"ym\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ym\">They are the nation that spawned us, after all. There are some glimmers of hope in the results, albeit few.<\/div>\n<p>Five percent of those age 45 and up squeeze in more than 30 kisses per week, which averages out to just over four per day. So, not counting a presumed &#8220;good morning&#8221; and &#8220;good night&#8221; kiss, that leaves two others.<\/p>\n<p>Even younger couples age 18 to 24\u2014not necessarily married\u2014make some time for <strong>romance<\/strong>, with an average of 11 kisses per week, or less than two per day.5 Reasons Kissing Is Good For You<\/p>\n<p>The results were released in an effort to publicize the BHF&#8217;s Emergency Life Skills campaign and highlight the importance of knowing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation\u2014called the &#8220;kiss of life&#8221; overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Stateside, we think this survey emphasizes the need for a romantic boost in our relationships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source:\u00a0yourtango.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the end of romance?
