The next iteration of the device will contain a low-power processor from Intel.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>WSJ<\/em> reports this is all part of Intel\u2019s plan to enter the wearable devices market early on, after learning from its shortcomings in mobile.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet also notes Google\u2019s partners, including Intel, will be promoting Google Glass as a workplace device \u2014 one for doctors, factory workers, and the like.<\/p>\n<p>So while the device has received plenty of criticism as a consumer product, it may find its place in the commercial market.<\/p>\n<p>This might turn out to be pretty important, given the recent round of Google Glass breakups and obits.<\/p>\n<p>Whether Glass actually makes it as a consumer product will depend on a whole lot more than a processor from Intel.
