{"id":6729,"date":"2014-03-17T13:36:02","date_gmt":"2014-03-17T13:36:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=6729"},"modified":"2014-03-17T13:36:02","modified_gmt":"2014-03-17T13:36:02","slug":"ag-fails-to-respond-to-woyomes-no-case-submission-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=6729","title":{"rendered":"AG fails to respond to Woyome\u2019s no case submission again"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_6747\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6747\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/woyome.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6747 \" alt=\"Alfred Agbesi Woyome\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/woyome.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6747\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Alfred Agbesi Woyome<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Attorney General\u2019s Department on Monday, March 17 failed to file their responses to a submission of no case filed by businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome who is standing trial for the GHC 51 million paid to him as a judgement debt.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Woyome in his application prayed the court to dismiss the case and by extension acquit and discharge him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u2019<strong><em> Abdul Karim Naatogmah<\/em> <\/strong>reported that Senior State Attorney, Matthew Amponsah told the Economic, Financial and Tax Court 2 of the Accra High Court presided over by His Lordship, Johnson Ajet Nassam that the Attorney General\u2019s Department underestimated the volume of Mr Woyome\u2019s submission of no case.<\/p>\n<p>Council for the State however, pleaded for an additional two weeks to file a response to Mr. Woyome\u2019s submission of no case and the presiding judge accordingly adjourned the case to March 31, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Woyome on February 10, 2014 filed an application of no case and prayed the court to dismiss the case.
