Authorities of the Central Tamale Prisons might soon be dragged to court over unpaid rent arrears.<\/p>\n
Landlord of house number E552 at Hausa Zongo, Adam Abdul Rashid has already served the Prison Authorities an eviction notice.<\/p>\n
He told Citi News<\/strong> his lawyer has initiated the legal processes to retrieve the accumulated rent arrears.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”nXgjwp73IYgXODgy3L6OTzfEeEC3e88r”]\u201cI have already contacted my lawyer to start the process if they refuse to vacate the place by 31st\u00a0December: I have written to them, copied my lawyer and the rent control,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n According to him, the family met and concluded that the Prison authorities should get the building renovated, pay the accumulated arrears and vacate by December 31, 2014.<\/p>\n He said current authorities of the Tamale Central Prisons have wrecked the long existing relationship with the family.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have being living there since 1996 and my father handed over to me after his demise.
