{"id":6236,"date":"2014-03-14T16:31:15","date_gmt":"2014-03-14T16:31:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=6236"},"modified":"2014-03-14T16:32:15","modified_gmt":"2014-03-14T16:32:15","slug":"stop-politicizing-bimbila-chieftaincy-dispute-andani-family-cautions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=6236","title":{"rendered":"Stop politicizing Bimbila chieftaincy dispute &#8211; Andani family cautions"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_6302\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6302\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Tahidu-Osman-Kikaa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6302 \" alt=\"Tahidu Osman Kikaa\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Tahidu-Osman-Kikaa-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Tahidu-Osman-Kikaa-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Tahidu-Osman-Kikaa.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6302\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tahidu Osman Kikaa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Naa-Dasana family in Bimbila has dismissed claims that government is supporting them in the protracted chieftaincy dispute.<\/p>\n<p>This was in response to claims by the rival Nakpaa-Naa Salifu Dawuni\u2019s family that the northern regional Minister, Bede Zeden had taken sides in the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the media in Accra on Friday, March 14, 2014, Spokesperson for Naa-Dasana Andani in Bimbila, Tahidu Osman Kikaa cautioned against politicization of the Bimbila chieftaincy dispute.<\/p>\n<p>He described the allegation leveled against Mr. Bede Zeden as a miscalculated attempt by the Nakpaa-Naa Salifu Dawuni\u2019s family to mislead the public on the facts of the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Osman Kikaa said the regional minister\u2019s intervention prevented bloodbath in Bimbila during attempts to bury the late Nakpaa-Naa Salifu as Bimbila Naa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to put it on record clearly that, but for the timely intervention of the regional minister indeed Bimbila will have been in the worst form of catastrophe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody who points accusing finger at the regional minister is not just being unfair to the regional minister, but is being unfair to Ghanaians and everybody at large,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Osman Kikaa said the Nakpaa-Naa Salifu family conspired with the District Security Committee to bury the late chief within the premises of the Grugmayili palace.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that the place earmarked for the late chief\u2019s burial was not in consonance with the customs and traditions of Nanung.<\/p>\n<p>Tahidu Osman Kikaa insisted that the Naa-Dasana Andani family will not rescind their decision of allowing the burial of the late Nakpaa-Naa Salifu Dawuni as Bimbila Naa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they want they should leave the body and push the National House of Chiefs to rule on the matter and if Naa-Salifu Dawuni is declared vindicated they should go ahead and bury him as Bimbila Naa; otherwise if it goes in favour of Bimbila Naa Andani Dasana we will resist any intimidation to bury Naa-Salifu Dawuni in Bimbila.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Naa-Dasana family in Bimbila has dismissed claims that government is supporting them in the protracted chieftaincy dispute.
