<\/a>The counsel for musician Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has prayed the Accra High Court hearing the case brought against the musician to strike out the case.<\/p>\n
According to a motion filed in the court, Lawyer Gary Nimako Marfo argues that “as a matter of law, the writ of summons discloses no reasonable cause of action against the Defendant\/Applicant and same ought to be struck out by the Honorable Court.”<\/p>\n
Maurice Ampaw sued A-Plus for comments allegedly made by A-Plus on his Facebook page that described him as \u2018dumb\u2019 for his comments on the missing Castro saga.<\/p>\n
Maurice Ampaw, the plaintiff, seeks an apology from the musician, an order to restrain him and GHc 1 million cedis in damages but A-Plus’ counsel believes that “the Plaintiff\/Respondent has failed to endorse the particulars of the alleged words which he claims are defamatory of him on the writ of summons.”<\/p>\n
The musician posted details of the affidavit and motion on his Facebook page telling his fans that they had prayed for the case to be struck out.<\/p>\n
The case has been adjourned to November 14, 2014.<\/p>\n<\/a>
