The Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP) says it will will elect its national executives before the end of 2015.<\/p>\n
According to the party, it is currently conducting constituency and regional elections<\/a><\/strong><\/span> across the country which they expect to complete by the end of 2014.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”8CxJJPcTKSsTmYxeTjGaDjkf4si4W8it”]Operations Director of the PPP, Nana Ofori Owusu in an interview with\u00a0Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0 said the party is putting adequate measures in place ahead of the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n He said \u201cPPP has started the process to put together its regional executives; we are done with the constituency elections. We are doing regional elections. Next week on the 5th<\/sup> [November] we are in Wa, on the 15th<\/sup> we are in Tamale, on 16th<\/sup> we are in Bolga, on 25th<\/sup> we will come back to Brong Ahafo.<\/p>\n \u201cThe following week we will be in the Volta Region. The process is ongoing; we will by the middle of December have completed our entire regional elections. Within the first quarter of 2015 we would have completed our national elections,\u201d he assured.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the newly elected Eastern Regional Chairman of PPP, Fred Dua Agyeman has urged Ghanaians to vote the PPP\u00a0into power in the next general elections, insisting it is the only credible alternative<\/span><\/strong><\/a> to the governing National Democratic Congress(NDC)\u00a0 and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n In the 2012 general elections, the party’s presidential candidate Papa Kwesi Nduom managed 0.59 percent of the votes, after raking in 64,362 votes and came third.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin Allotey Akweiteh\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n
