{"id":60670,"date":"2014-10-30T07:48:07","date_gmt":"2014-10-30T07:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=60670"},"modified":"2014-10-30T07:48:07","modified_gmt":"2014-10-30T07:48:07","slug":"microsoft-launches-wearable-fitness-device-for-199","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=60670","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft launches wearable fitness device for $199"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"articleLocatio&lt;\/span&gt;n\"><span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">Microsoft<\/span>\u00a0launched a device called &#8220;<span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">Microsoft<\/span>Band&#8221; that will allow users to monitor their fitness and exercise regime, marking the world&#8217;s largest <span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">software<\/span> company&#8217;s debut into the wearable technology market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The wrist-worn device has sensors that monitor pulse rate, measure calorie burn and track sleep quality, <span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">Microsoft<\/span> said in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft said the device will be available in the United States in limited quantities from Thursday for $199.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">Apple\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>\u00a0<a title=\"Apple unveils watch, larger iPhones\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/10\/apple-unveils-watch-larger-iphones\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">unveiled a smart watch<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> on Sept. 9 that will combine health and fitness tracking with communications and will go on sale in early 2015, while Samsung <span class=\"mandelbrot_refrag\">Electronics<\/span> Co unveiled its Galaxy Gear smart watch in September 2013.
