Kim Kardashian West\u2018s\u00a0new book will feature a total of \u20182,000 selfies\u2019 by the reality TV star. Kim, also a wife and mother, revealed that the much-anticipated book, \u2018Selfish\u2019 \u2013 which is set for a pre-Christmas release, will have 352 pages.<\/p>\n
The brainchild of husband,\u00a0Kanye West\u00a0\u2013 the publication will contain thousands of her self-captured photos. Kim explained to the Evening Standard Magazine:\u00a0\u2018Kanye came up with the concept and the name and everything.<\/p>\n
\u2018He introduced me to the book publisher. And I was like, \u2018This is such a good idea, I can\u2019t believe I didn\u2019t think of it.\u2019 It\u2019s 352 pages and multiples on the page, so I turned in probably 2,000 selfies.\u2019<\/p>\n
Kim \u2013 who married 37-year-old Kanye in May this year \u2013 has refuted accusations that the tome is nothing but a vanity project for her, insisting it is a catalogue of her life and a reflection of the modern world.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0\u2018Keeping Up with the Kardashians\u2019\u00a0star added:\u00a0\u2018I\u2019ve been taking selfies for a long time \u2013 it\u2019s like now [seen as] such a vain thing, but it really started off with me just having a camera around to capture memories.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re selfies taken over a decade.\u2019 Kim \u2013 who gave birth to daughter North in June 2013 \u2013 has also given her top tips on how to take the best selfie possible. She explained:\u00a0\u2018Lighting is key. I think a lot of people take a lot of selfies before they actually post one. So, in the book you\u2019ll definitely see \u2026 like I posted this one selfie of myself in a white bathing suit, after I had the baby \u2026 it was kind of like from the back in the mirror\u2026 and I took about 10 shots to get that one. So I\u2019m probably going to put all ten in there.\u2019…<\/p>\n
