Two persons have been arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a shop at Adabraka in Accra.<\/p>\n
The suspects, Sadat Suleman, 35, an ex-convict and Daniel Lanquaye, 30, were arrested when a police patrol team saw them breaking into the shop.<\/p>\n
Briefing journalists, the Accra Region Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Mrs Effia Tenge, said about 1 a.m. on October 19, 2014, the police patrol team saw the two men breaking into the shop which was close to the Niagara Hotel at Adabraka.<\/p>\n

The police, ASP Tenge said, monitored the two for a while. After they were convinced that the two were trying to break into the shop, they arrested them.<\/p>\n
When a car they were using was searched, two computers, steel cutter, flashlight and a decoder were found in the boot.<\/p>\n
ASP Tenge said the suspects had stolen the retrieved items from a shop at Madina before coming to Accra.<\/p>\n
According to the PRO, the Kia Rio, with registration number AW5875-14, which the suspects were using, was intercepted to ascertain if they were the real owners.<\/p>\n
She said it was also detected that a figure and letter on the number plate had been tampered with.<\/p>\n
ASP Tenge said preliminary investigations also showed that Suleman, who had an injury on the left leg, was arrested in a similar incident with two other suspects in 2012.<\/p>\n
The police were conducting further investigations into the incident, she said.<\/p>\n
