{"id":58232,"date":"2014-10-21T10:45:18","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T10:45:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=58232"},"modified":"2014-10-22T06:54:56","modified_gmt":"2014-10-22T06:54:56","slug":"ndc-holds-nec-meeting-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=58232","title":{"rendered":"NDC holds NEC meeting today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold a National Executive Committee Meeting on Tuesday to discuss the party\u2019s upcoming National Delegates Congress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today\u2019s NEC meeting follows a Functional Executive Committee meeting held at the party&#8217;s head office on Friday October 17.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;qR3yue3SW7GnXUmcyT9CMDZkC3sEBUVu&#8221;]The NEC meeting will discuss among other things, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>an <a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/10\/14\/ndc-election-case-judge-orders-for-out-of-court-settlement\/\" target=\"_blank\">out of court settlement of the case pending before a Kumasi High Court<\/a><\/strong><\/span> which has placed an injunction on the party\u2019s congress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will also draw a timetable for the party\u2019s regional and national congresses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The party returns to court on the October 27\u00a0with a proposal for an out of court settlement with one of its members, Njonolah Linus\u00a0who has <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/23\/ar-ndc-elections-in-limbo-court-to-decide-on-sep-26\/\" target=\"_blank\">dragged the national executives to court<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for supposedly overstaying their 4 year mandate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Njonolah Linus, the executives were using their authority to disqualify interested party members of the NDC from taking part in the impending elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NDC subsequently postponed its National Delegates Congress which was scheduled for October 25.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin Allotey Akweiteh\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold a National Executive Committee Meeting on Tuesday to discuss the party\u2019s upcoming National Delegates Congress.
