The Police in the Bunkprugu-Yunyoo District in the Northern Region have intensified their patrol and monitoring in the area following clashes between rival factions on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Reports indicated that the violence between the two Bimoba royal factions – Jamong and Jacob, left a thirty five year old teacher butchered with over thirty five houses burnt down.<\/p>\n
Northern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah, in an interview with Citi News<\/strong>, said his officers have managed to bring the situation under control.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”w7dqVUuWRYaL5zPkvJpGAppRNWBaC8gN”]\u201cThe situation is very tight, but you know once some people have been destroyed, definitely if we are not careful, they will also take revenge and so we are monitoring the situation and we will beef up security in the town.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that investigations into the matter has begun.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026We have sent more reinforcement to the place so we are hopeful that things will stabilize and then we have started investigations so all those people who were involved, we are hopeful that we are going to get them and have them arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n
