President John Mahama and two time flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) put aside their political “rivalry” and engaged in a hearty quick chat and laughter at the\u00a0Odwira festival at Akropong-Akuapem on Friday.<\/p>\n

The two, graced the ceremony to\u00a0mark the 40th anniversary of the\u00a0paramount chief of the Akropong-Akuapem traditional area,\u00a0Oseadeeyo Addo Dankwa III.<\/p>\n

President John Mahama was declared winner of the 2012 presidential elections by the Electoral Commission (EC) but Nana Akufo-Addo challenged the results at the Supreme Court in a historical election petition<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The court also ruled in favour of President John Mahama but Akofo-Addo again said he disagreed with the verdict<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Former President Rawlings was also at the ceremony and met with President John Mahama briefly.<\/p>\n
