Maxwell Kofi Jumah, a former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region will on Tuesday be arraigned before court.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jumah was last Friday arrested and charged<\/strong><\/span><\/a> with causing unlawful harm to one Jamel Agha, whom he accused of stealing his mobile phone.<\/p>\n

Agah subsequently filed a complaint at the Police Station and accused the former MP and six others for physically assaulting him.<\/p>\n

Kofi Jumah has denied the allegations<\/strong><\/span><\/a> leveled against him, claiming that the allegations were orchestrated.<\/p>\n

The Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ACP Mohammed Tanko told Citi News<\/strong>, his outfit has gathered enough evidence to prosecute the former Mayor of Kumasi.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has already been charged last Friday and he was released on bail to report on Tuesday for us to proceed to court,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

ACP Tanko narrated that after the complaint was made, Jumah was heard on a local radio station boasting about physically assaulting the complainant.<\/p>\n
