A man attacked former Kenyan PM Raila Odinga and the Governor of Kwale county while the two were dancing on the podium at a CORD rally in Kinango.<\/p>\n
The man whose motive of the attack was not immediately made clear, caned the former PM twice and went further to attack the governor before he was floored by the County\u2019s \u00a0Communication boss.<\/p>\n
While the area Police Department claim that the man didn\u2019t assault Raila but was dancing a traditional dance where participants cane each other, sources within the former PM\u2019s security believe that the man meant to harm Raila.<\/p>\n
Raila immediately ordered that the man be released as he had forgiven him. The function was\u00a0attended by Senators Juma Boy, Hassan Omar, Agnes Zani, James Orengo, Johnson Muthama and MP Hassan Mwanyoa.<\/p>\n
The man,\u00a0Lengo Mzombe, 40,\u00a0is reported to have told police that\u00a0he did it because he was tired of the referendum calls in the country.<\/p>\n
MP Mungaro and Senator Sonko were in the same area yesterday urging residents not to give the former PM an ear and to make sure that they show him dust. Most Kenyan mainstream media outlets have refused to show any clips which negatively portray the Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta regime.<\/p>\n
A section of Coast MPs led by Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung\u2019aro, Malindi MP Dan Kazungu, Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa, Ganze MP Peter Shehe and Kilifi South Mustafa Idd\u00a0\u00a0have been insulting Raila and the Okoa Kenya team in various rallies but no action has ever been taken on them.<\/p>\n
