{"id":52796,"date":"2014-10-01T18:34:59","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T18:34:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=52796"},"modified":"2014-10-07T18:24:49","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T18:24:49","slug":"bimbilla-residents-plead-for-reduction-in-curfew-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=52796","title":{"rendered":"Reduce curfew hours &#8211; Bimbilla residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Residents in Bimbila in the Northern Region are asking for a reduction in the hours of the curfew imposed on them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Interior, about four months ago, placed a <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/06\/20\/bimbilla-under-curfew-mp-calls-for-peace\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">twelve hour curfew on the Bimbilla Township<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0because of a deadly shooting which led to the death of the overload of the town, Naa Dasana Abdulai Andani II.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The shooting was triggered by a disagreement between two chieftaincy factions over where to bury the late chief of the town, Nakpaa-Naa\u00a0Salifu Dawuni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Nebh7o7EP62IqBK2dpnngOLGUQDG6jeM&#8221;]\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/27\/curfew-on-bimbilla-towship-renewed\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">The curfew lasts from 6:00pm to 6:00am<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em; color: #666699;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the residents who spoke to <b>Citi News<\/b> expressed satisfaction with the curfew but called for an immediate review of the time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A trader in the area said &#8220;The security is tight alright but it is affecting our businesses here because prior to the curfew, we used to sell in the night so they should review it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another resident said<b> &#8220;<\/b>We are now ok with the curfew, because everywhere you go, there is peace.
