Baraka has honoured the First Lady of Ghana Lordina Mahama with an award and citation for her philanthropic work and dedication to Ghanaians and the Ghanaian community in the City of Newark, the State of New Jersey, USA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award to the First Lady, by the City of Newark is to applaud her for her work as National President of the Alternative Source of Income Programme (ASOIP), now Lordina Foundation, which is devoted to assisting orphan children and vulnerable persons and for her immense support to the people of Newark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/The-Proclamation-Resolution-and-Citation-accompanying-the-Honour-of-Mrs-Lordina-Mahama-by-the-City-of-Newark-and-the-State-of.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-51845\" alt=\"The Proclamation, Resolution and Citation accompanying the Honour of Mrs Lordina Mahama by the City of Newark and the State of\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/The-Proclamation-Resolution-and-Citation-accompanying-the-Honour-of-Mrs-Lordina-Mahama-by-the-City-of-Newark-and-the-State-of-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"620\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/The-Proclamation-Resolution-and-Citation-accompanying-the-Honour-of-Mrs-Lordina-Mahama-by-the-City-of-Newark-and-the-State-of-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/The-Proclamation-Resolution-and-Citation-accompanying-the-Honour-of-Mrs-Lordina-Mahama-by-the-City-of-Newark-and-the-State-of-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award is also in recognition of her dedication to humanity, most especially orphaned children. As part of the award, she was presented with the keys to the City of Newark through the State of New Jersey which allows her an unfettered access to Newark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A citation accompanying the plaque acknowledges the dedication of Lordina Mahama to humanitarian issues and to the Ghanaian residents of Newark who have also contributed to Newark\u2019s transformation, by uniting to support educational, cultural, and economic projects at Newark and their homeland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/H.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-51844\" alt=\"H\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/H-680x1024.jpg\" width=\"620\" height=\"933\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/H-680x1024.jpg 680w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/H-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award which was presented by the mayor of the city of Newark Ras J. Baraka was received on her behalf by the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon.
