Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle has urged the youth to emulate and learn from the heroics, zeal and excellence of the late Komla Dumor.<\/p>\n

“Africa needs you my dear people; Africa needs many young ones to fill in the shoes of Komla…model your lives on Komla…,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Archbishop made this remark in a sermon during the requiem mass organized for the ace BBC broadcaster at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra.<\/p>\n

According to him, the late Komla gave his best in whatever he did and this led him to great heights and further described him as \u201can icon for the youth, a model in his commitment to excellence…\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Archbishop Palmer-Buckle urged the youth of Africa to emulate Komla to make Africa a better place.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me exhort you my young people to walk in the footsteps of Komla, Africa needs you our young people to be committed to this continent; Africa needs you my dear young people and to lift up the flag of Africa still higher, you can do it just as he[Komla Dumor] did,\u2019\u2019 he advised.<\/p>\n

He noted that although Komla’s sudden demise at a prime age of 41 is painful, he lived a fulfilled life and therefore urged the congregation to continue to pray for a peaceful rest for Komla saying, “however, please in your grief and your cries…tell Jesus to ask God on your behalf what he knows is best for Komla.”<\/p>\n

The remains of Komla Dumor will be interred on Saturday in a private family ceremony.<\/p>\n

A liturgical service will be held on the 22nd of February 2014 at the forecourt of the State House.<\/p>\n

Finally, there will be a Thanksgiving Service on the 23rd of February 2014 also at the Holy Spirit Cathedral.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, members of the general public have also started filing past Komla\u2019s body to pay their last respect.<\/p>\n

Komla Afeke Dumor was born on October 3, 1972 and died suddenly on January 18, 2014 at his London residence, after suffering a cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n
