A mum has told of her outrage after hearing her young daughter’s talking Barbie doll scream: “What the f***?”<\/p>\n

Talina Evans, 25, couldn’t believe her ears when she heard seven-year-old Demileigh’s toy blurt out the swear word.<\/p>\n

The foul-mouthed doll, who has several voice-activated buttons on her belt, appears to sing something inaudible before screeching the shocking phrase.<\/p>\n

Shocked mum Talina, from North Wales, said she immediately took the toy, made by Mattel, from her daughter and demanded an explanation from her local Home Bargains store.<\/p>\n

“She had wanted the doll for a while so my dad bought it for her and I let her have it.<\/p>\n

“She loved it and has been playing with it constantly ever since.<\/p>\n

“We hadn’t really paid that much attention to it or what it was saying.”<\/p>\n

She added: “We’ve taken it off her now. We just told her that the doll had been bad and was swearing so it had to go.<\/p>\n

“She was disappointed, of course, but she understood that it is wrong to swear and so the doll had to go.”<\/p>\n

The doll\u00a0is based on Barbie’s web reality series Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse.<\/p>\n

It says 15 different phrases including “amaze”, “I love a makeover”, “there is no substitute for glitter”, and “to the salon!”<\/p>\n

But Talina,\u00a0who is currently pregnant with her second child, was stunned when the doll launched into a foul-mouthed tirade.<\/p>\n

She added: “I have tried taking the doll back but because I don’t have the receipt they say there is nothing they can do.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s very irresponsible of the toy company – they know that children are going to be playing with these toys.<\/p>\n

“I’m not the only one who has heard it. You can hear it loud and clear, it definitely says ‘what the f***’.”<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Mattel confirmed that an investigation had been launched into the swearing doll but refused to comment further.<\/p>\n
