Finance Minister Seth Tekper has revealed that Ghana will go into negotiation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the country\u2019s home grown solutions to make a case for better conditions.<\/p>\n
The team from the International Monetary Fund will today begin negotiations for a programme expected to get Ghana out of its current economic challenges.<\/p>\n
A number of stakeholders have expressed their opinions on what Ghana\u2019s position should be with some calling for a focus on the cocoa sector.<\/p>\n
Finance Minister, Seth Tekper speaking to Citi Business News said the home grown solution and recommendations from the Senchi consensus will be the key tools to make Ghana\u2019s case.<\/p>\n
Seth Tekper also revealed that the decision to go to the fund stems from the Senchi Economic forum.<\/p>\n
The negotiated programme is expected to kick start in November this year.<\/p>\n
Former Finance Minister and Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, Kwesi Botwey will lead the Ghanaian team in the negotiations.<\/p>\n
