Demolition at Adjei Kojo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Some members of TV Africa news crew \u00a0were detained \u00a0by \u00a0the National Security team on Friday.<\/p>\n

The members of the crew were reportedly \u00a0picked up by national security operatives at Adjei Kojo.<\/p>\n

A Deputy News editor at TV Africa, Nii<\/span> Tettey<\/span> Ablorh<\/span>\u00a0 confirmed the incident in an interview with Shamima<\/span>\u00a0Muslim on Eyewitness News.<\/p>\n

According to him, the team had gone to \u00a0the area to assess the impact of Thursday’s heavy rainfall on residents.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u2019According to my reporter they were arrested by a military cum police and some men from the national security asking to know why we [TV Africa] were there to cover stories from the Adjei Kojo\u2026,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0however<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>revealed<\/span><\/span> that\u00a0the news crew had been released after a thorough search.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey forced them to remove their shoes, their watches so that they search them; they seized the camera, claiming they want to go through the camera to see if they don\u2019t have any shots to tell a story against them,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
