Inmates of the Nyohini Children\u2019s Home in Tamale are crying for hygienic water.<\/p>\n
As Tamale\u2019s premier orphanage which currently has a population of 25 needy children including a three week abandoned baby girl, it is bedeviled with numerous challenges and water scarcity is the major one.<\/p>\n
Management of the orphanage keeps appealing to government, civil society organizations and philanthropists to help connect pipelines to the orphanage.<\/p>\n
Touched by the plight of the orphans, a Non-Governmental Organization called Mawuenam Foundation Ministry has donated to two big poly tanks, used clothing, confectionary and detergents worth thousands of cedis to the Orphanage.<\/p>\n
Leader of the delegation, Rev. Cephas Awudzi told Citi News the contribution was a divine intervention which according to him will be sustained.<\/p>\n
Rev. Awudzi said his organization had adopted the Orphanage and will encourage its congregation and other well meaning people to support the orphans.<\/p>\n
Director of the Nyohini Children\u2019s Home, Mrs. Augustina Quainoo described the donation as timely.<\/p>\n
She thanked the Mawuenam Foundation Ministry but requested for plastic chairs from other philanthropists.<\/p>\n
