{"id":45906,"date":"2014-09-09T06:35:22","date_gmt":"2014-09-09T06:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=45906"},"modified":"2014-09-09T09:19:34","modified_gmt":"2014-09-09T09:19:34","slug":"my-vision-has-not-changed-addai-nimo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=45906","title":{"rendered":"My vision has not changed \u2013 Addai Nimo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the New Patriotic Party (NPP\u2019s) flagbearer hopeful, Francis Addai Nimo has told <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, his vision to lead the party in the 2016 presidential election has not changed.<\/p>\n<p>The NPP, as part of its constitutional requirements held a Super Delegates Congress on August, 31, 2014 to prune the seven aspirants vying to lead the party to five.<\/p>\n<p>The five that made it include: Nana Akufo-Addo, Alan Kyeremanteng, Kofi Osei Ameyaw, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/04\/24\/joe-ghartey-addai-nimoh-join-npp-flag-bearer-race\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">Francis Addai Nimo and Joe Ghartey<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/span> Joe Ghartey has however bowed out few days after the election.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;sQRT8UlwZ02pPruFyyAOS0cM9G1a7IIH&#8221;]However, the party will on October 18, hold another election to elect an ultimate candidate to lead the party in the 2016 presidential race.<\/p>\n<p>Although pressure has been mounted on the remaining three who made it into the next stage with Nana Akufo-Addo, to step down, Francis Addai-Nimo has defied such calls to <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/08\/ive-decided-to-contest-nana-addo-addai-nimoh\/\" target=\"_blank\">declare his intention<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">to<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0continue with the process.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <b>Point Blank<\/b> on <strong>Eye Witness News<\/strong> on Monday, Addai Nimo who polled only 2.97 percent at the Congress said he was elated that delegates put him inthe top five.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no change or deviation in the vision as far as Addai-Nimo is concerned. At the opening of nomination of the party, I went into the contest with the vision seeking to lead the party into 2016.
