The protest begun on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The workers have threatened to continue with the strike till management of the company increases their salaries.<\/p>\n<p>Over 50 workers of the company in January this year, staged a protest at the company\u2019s premises over the failed two year long salary and conditions of service negotiation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi Business News<\/strong> has learnt workers of the company are being paid GHC 600 despite demands for GHC 1,000 at least from employers.<\/p>\n<p>The General Transport, Petroleum and Chemical Worker&#8217;s Union\u00a0petitioned the Labour Commission over the matter.<\/p>\n<p>But the workers say despite being ordered to pay the increment following meetings with the labour commission the company has refused to do so.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Vivian Kai Mensah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Workers of oil service company, Schlumberger have commenced a sit down strike in protest against poor conditions of service.
