{"id":43890,"date":"2014-09-01T18:47:50","date_gmt":"2014-09-01T18:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=43890"},"modified":"2014-09-02T06:44:45","modified_gmt":"2014-09-02T06:44:45","slug":"i-am-still-a-political-bulldog-asamoah-boateng","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=43890","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m still a political bulldog \u2013 Asamoah Boateng"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirants, Stephen Asamoah Boateng has said he still has presidential ambitions\u00a0\u00a0 even though the party&#8217;s delegates ditched him at the just ended super delegates congress.<\/p>\n<p>Asamoah Boateng managed a paltry 1.76% of the total votes, thus failing to make the list of top five to contest in the final national delegates congress on October 18.<\/p>\n<p>When <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/06\/12\/asamoah-boateng-joins-npp-race-picks-forms-with-nana-addo\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>he picked up his nomination forms<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> in June Mr. Asamoah Boateng said &#8220;he will have the opportunity to lead the party in the 2016 general elections.\u201d\u00a0Before then, he spoke in an interview on <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong> and likened himself to a &#8220;bulldog&#8221; who makes sure he &#8220;chews up&#8221; anything he bites, and was bent on finishing the race well.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the same programme\u00a0on Monday, the former member of parliament for Mfantseman West constituency, said he has not given up on his presidential ambitions.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24310\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24310\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/10402704_10152530639642959_2861804598575140784_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-24310 \" alt=\"Asamoah Boateng picks forms\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/10402704_10152530639642959_2861804598575140784_n.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"478\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/10402704_10152530639642959_2861804598575140784_n.jpg 800w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/10402704_10152530639642959_2861804598575140784_n-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24310\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Asamoah Boateng picks forms<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOnce I put my teeth into something I bite and breathe at the same time like a British bulldog, so I know what I\u2019m about. I don\u2019t start something that God does not want to finish with me,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n<p>He said he has a positive mindset for the future and his political career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am a positive forward looking person, I\u2019ve started a journey, the first step and initial steps are taken.
