A Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dan Botwe has called on government to support political parties in the country.<\/p>\n
According to him, \u201cIt\u2019s very important\u201d because political parties produce people who take up leadership positions in the country hence they need to help them improve on their skills.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolitical parties serve as a training ground for leaders,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Political parties and politicians sometimes borrow huge sums of money or their valuable assets only to secure money to run electoral campaigns.<\/p>\n
Some believe this leads to the mismanagement of public funds in their bid to defray such cost.<\/p>\n
Dan Botwe explained that the country could suffer if such politicians become leaders of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf you don\u2019t support them to enhance their skills and they win power they will govern anyhow and it is the county that will suffer.
