The 10 finalists were selected by a panel of judges from over 2,200 entries from 35 countries.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Five successful winners from among the finalists will now be selected by the online voting public.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The winners will bag $25,000 each, and will also have the opportunity to work with a Google sponsor over a six-month period to further their online business success.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The competition categories included Education; Entertainment\/Arts\/Sports; Technology; Community and NGOs; and Small Businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher who is one of the only 2 contenders in the Small Business category runs a transport company that enables drivers in Ghana to gain access to loans so they can buy cars for which they use to earn a living.He uses Google Maps in his vehicle tracking devices to constantly track the location of vehicles under bank loans, this gives the banks assurance that cars and loans are always protected.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.africaconnected.com\/be-inspired\/109711638849435712524-sme-en\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Click to view a video of his work<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>By: Mawuli Tsikata\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Ghanaian\u00a0entrepreneur, Christopher Panford has made it to the top 10 finalists in Google\u2019s Africa Connected competition.
