{"id":43516,"date":"2014-08-31T16:23:46","date_gmt":"2014-08-31T16:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=43516"},"modified":"2014-08-31T16:23:46","modified_gmt":"2014-08-31T16:23:46","slug":"akufo-addo-wins-nr-super-delegates-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=43516","title":{"rendered":"Akufo Addo wins N\/R Super Delegates Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has won the Northern Region&#8217;s super delegates congress.<\/p>\n<p>He polled 62 out of the 71 total votes cast representing 88.5% to beat his archrival Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng who secured only 4 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, Francis Adai Nimoh had 2, Hon. Joe Ghartey 2 votes whilst Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Stephen Asamoah Boateng and Kofi Osei Ameyaw had 0 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Electoral Commission has officially declared Nana Akufo Addo winner of the Northern Polls.<\/p>\n<p>But majority of the delegates and some party supporters were unhappy about the results saying, &#8220;We expected 100% for Nana Addo because he has decided to maintain our own brother Dr. Bawumia as his trusted running mate for 2016.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the isolated case of the confusion which arose as a result of one of the delegates displaying his ballot paper after casting his vote, the exercise was devoid of skirmishes.<\/p>\n<p>About 100 police personnel led by the regional Commander DCOP Ken Yeboah in collaboration with the millitary manned the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>Nana akufo Addo&#8217;s supporters poured on the streets of Tamale chanting their popular slogan, &#8220;No Nana no vote.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has won the Northern Region&#8217;s super delegates congress.
