Stephen Atubiga one of the popular names from the election petition, has said that he has been having sleepless nights after his imprisonment.<\/p>\n
Stephen Atubiga a member of the NDC communications team was sentenced to three days in prison after making comments deemed contemptuous by the panel of judges.<\/p>\n
He says he has battled with depression due to his experience in jail.<\/p>\n
Speaking in an interview with Citi News, he \u00a0explained that the apology rendered \u00a0when he appeared before the petition was genuine.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I look back honestly speaking the apology I surrendered to the justices was from the bottom of my heart\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI get so depressed that I ask myself where you have put the family name and the situation is so painful too,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He said although the incident has made him famous, his image as a politician has been dented beyond repair.<\/p>\n
\u201cForget about the fame that it came along with, example maybe when you go pump gas and someone pays for you. Also when you go eat in a restaurant and before you turn around someone has already paid for you but the pain it brought on as politician is worse.”<\/p>\n
