Nene Tetteh Djan III, Paramount Chief of Prampram, has cautioned illegal land sellers in the community to desist from such acts since it has made it unsafe to buy land in the area.<\/p>\n
He said the evasion of land guards employed into the community by these persons is endangering lives in the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t sell what you don\u2019t have so if you are not a land owner please don\u2019t attempt to sell lands,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n
Nene Djan gave the caution during his annual address to usher in the Homowo celebration of the chiefs and people of the Prampram Traditional Area in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n
The chiefs and elders walked through some principal streets of Prampram where the chief sprinkled the traditional Kpokpoi to signify the beginning of the festival, meant to hoot at hunger.<\/p>\n
Nene Djan, who is also the President of the Prampram Traditional Council explained that Homowo celebrated by Ga-Adangbe traditionally signifies the season of the first harvest of maize cultivated after a prolonged famine period.<\/p>\n
He expressed concern about the outbreak of the viral Ebola disease in neighbouring West African states and advised the youth and community at large to report to the hospital when they notice the symptoms.<\/p>\n
He therefore called for unity and peace in the area to enable the authorities to plan and execute developmental projects since division and litigation retard progress and development.<\/p>\n
