The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential hopeful, Nana Akufo-Addo says the party cannot win the 2016 election if the current internal fighting does not stop.<\/p>\n
Nana Addo called on the feuding factions in the party to settle their differences amicably.<\/p>\n
According to him the current internal wrangling could negatively affect the party\u2019s chances of winning the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n
Speaking for the first time about the troubles within the NPP and the violent clashes that occurred at the party\u2019s headquarters last week, he told party delegates in the Volta Region on Monday that such internal bickering could negatively affect the party\u2019s chances in winning the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot win if we cut each other into pieces. It\u2019s not possible; we will not agree about everything inside the NPP.We are not robots, we cannot agree about everything, even about the leadership; but we can agree about the objectives and the values and the principles of the NPP which are those that we want to see govern Ghana,\u2019\u2019 Nana Addo stressed.<\/p>\n
The presidential aspirant indicated that nothing was more important for the party than uniting to win the 2016 election, advising that no disagreement should trigger any violence in the party.<\/p>\n
He further assured that he would do everything in his power to bring the factions together to ensure total victory\u00a0in 2016.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyepong said the party\u2019s super delegates congress is coming off as scheduled.<\/p>\n
He noted that notice of poll have been delivered to all the regional capitals.<\/p>\n
Mr. \u00a0Agyepong further mentioned that there would be 11 polling stations in all the regional capitals and an additional one at the party headquarters.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery aspirant is allowed two agents per polling station; the stations will be manned by a presiding officer from the National Electoral Commission,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
All voters will be identified by the NPP delegates\u2019 card. The poll will start at 8am and close at 3pm.<\/p>\n
A total of 787 voters will take part in the super delegates congress on August 31, 2014.<\/p>\n
