{"id":41704,"date":"2014-08-25T11:51:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T11:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=41704"},"modified":"2014-08-25T11:51:00","modified_gmt":"2014-08-25T11:51:00","slug":"albert-ebosse-players-death-leads-to-league-suspension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=41704","title":{"rendered":"Albert Ebosse: Player\u2019s death leads to league suspension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Algeria has suspended football indefinitely following the death of Cameroonian player Albert Ebosse, who was hit by an object thrown by fans.<\/p>\n<p>The Algerian Football Federation made the decision after a meeting on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Ebosse, who was 24, was struck on the head when leaving the pitch\u00a0after his side JS Kabylie&#8217;s home defeat by USM Alger in Tizi Ouzou on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Algerian authorities had already ordered the indefinite closure of the 1st November 1954 stadium.<\/p>\n<p>That ruling will now apply to all stadiums in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The federation has also decided that US$100,000 will be given to Ebosse&#8217;s family &#8211; a figure believed to be the amount he would have earned over the period of his contract.
