{"id":41076,"date":"2014-08-22T09:14:15","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T09:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=41076"},"modified":"2014-08-22T09:14:15","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T09:14:15","slug":"peace-broker-meets-untimely-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=41076","title":{"rendered":"Peace broker meets untimely death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"stcpDiv\">\n<div>\n<p>A 50-year-old man who attempted to broker peace during a scuffle between a co-tenant and his wife has died after he was allegedly pushed by the co-tenant at Anyah Fanmilk in Accra.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The deceased, Awuda Quinyo, is said to have overheard a co-tenant, Pascal Tuvor, struggling with his wife, (name withheld) while he was next door, in his room.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Odorkor Police, Quinyo and his wife came out of their room to separate the couple but Tuvor is alleged to have pushed Quinyo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe fell down and became unconscious and some eyewitnesses shouted for help,\u201d said the Odorkor District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mr Abraham Acquaye.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspect beats pregnant wife\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He said Tuvor was arrested after Quinyo\u2019s wife, Ms Millicent Yeboah, a trader, reported the case to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The incident, he said, occurred about 5:30p.m. on August 13, 2014 when Tuvor\u2019s wife, who lives at Dansoman Agege in Accra, visited him at Anyah Fan milk, where Tuvor lived with his second wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the first wife, who was pregnant visited, a misunderstanding ensued between them and Tuvor assaulted her mercilessly,\u201d Mr Acquaye said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Tuvor had by then locked up his second wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe complainant and her husband went to separate them but the suspect pushed him and when he fell unconscious he was taken to the hospital,\u201d Mr Acquaye added.<\/p>\n<p>Quinyo was pronounced dead on arrival at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and a complaint was, therefore, made to the police.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Source:<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/graphic.com.gh\/news\/general-news\/29325-peace-broker-meets-untimely-death.html\"> Graphic Online<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 50-year-old man who attempted to broker peace during a scuffle between a co-tenant and his wife has died after he was allegedly pushed by the co-tenant at Anyah Fanmilk in Accra.
