{"id":408422,"date":"2018-03-09T15:16:18","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T15:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=408422"},"modified":"2018-03-10T07:36:09","modified_gmt":"2018-03-10T07:36:09","slug":"2-arrested-in-kumasi-for-beheading-5-year-old-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=408422","title":{"rendered":"2 arrested in Kumasi for beheading 5-year-old boy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two persons for allegedly beheading a five-year-old boy.<\/p>\n<p>The two; Vikuriba Joe Zoot, 21, and Kozel Borama, 25, were arrested on March 7, 2018 with the human head in their possession at Ampabame near Sokoban in Kumasi.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;vYYX0S3qtxY9chzWt7EjEo9MWp8Ahhvc&#8221;]The deceased, identified as Silas Kunsana, a twin, was picked up by the suspects at Suame, a suburb of Kumasi.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, the suspects lured the deceased with Yoghurt and took him to the uncompleted building in a Taxi cab to commit the act.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects\u00a0approached a spiritualist, Sheik Alhaji Mohammed Maheey at Suame to buy the human head.<\/p>\n<p>The spiritualist accepted to buy the head for GHc 2,500 and secretly alerted the police.<\/p>\n<p>The Police proceeded to the residence of the spiritualist at Suame Zongo and arrested the suspects with the fresh head, which was concealed in a black polythene bag.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects later led police to retrieve the decapitated body at an uncompleted building on the outskirts of Sokoban.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they also noticed that both hands of the deceased had been cut off.<\/p>\n<p>Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah, who addressed journalists in Kumasi on the matter said the headless body has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue.<\/p>\n<p>He said police have also located the deceased\u2019s parents to assist in investigations. COP Yeboah indicated that Police have invited the spiritualist for questioning.<\/p>\n<p>He said the suspects have been charged with murder and will be arraigned soon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>23-yr old man arrested with young boy\u2019s head<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In February this year, the Agona Nkwanta District Police Command arrested 23-year-old Alex Tetteh for possessing a<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/02\/07\/23-yr-old-man-arrested-with-young-boys-head\/\"> human head, believed to be that of a young boy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was arrested by the people of Sankro, a village near Dixcove when he was searching for a potential buyer of the human part.The Western Regional Police PRO, ASP Olivia Adiku, told Takoradi-based Skyypower FM that the suspect had attempted to sell the human head to a spiritualist around 5:15 pm on Tuesday, February 6.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the spiritualist became suspicious and raised an alarm, and with the help of other residents, the suspect was arrested and handed over to the police.<\/p>\n<p>When interrogated by the police, the suspect, Alex Tetteh, claimed to have decapitated a boy, believed to be twelve [12] years at Bogoso with two accomplices.<\/p>\n<p>The headless body of the 12-year-old boy identified as Ebenezer Tetteh was later found still in uniform in a bush on the Baakoyemobo road, after Agyeikrom near Bogoso.<\/p>\n<p>The body was found after the family of the deceased organized a search party to comb through the town.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Hafiz Tijani\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two persons for allegedly beheading a five-year-old boy.
