{"id":404884,"date":"2018-02-27T16:54:49","date_gmt":"2018-02-27T16:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=404884"},"modified":"2018-02-28T06:51:50","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T06:51:50","slug":"i-have-only-8-staff-sanitation-minister-laments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=404884","title":{"rendered":"I have only 8 staff &#8211; Sanitation Minister laments\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the enormous task of fulfilling a pledge by President Akufo-Addo to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa,\u00a0the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, which is responsible for making this happen has only eight employees.<\/p>\n<p>This, according to the sector Minister, Kofi Adda, is a big challenge because the issue of inadequate staff is not \u201cgood enough\u201d for the huge task on them.<\/p>\n<p>Although a year has passed since the Ministry was created, not much has been done by way of improving sanitation in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started the ministry with just about four officers&#8230; Now we are up to about eight.
