It has been a long spell on the sidelines for Ghana and Schalke 04 left wing back, Baba Rahman.<\/p>\n
A cruciate ligament injury suffered while representing Ghana in the opening match of Afcon 2017 has kept the budding talent out for well over a year.<\/p>\n
During that spell Schalke have fired Markus Weinzierl, the manager who orchestrated his loan from parent club Chelsea coach and appointed Domenico Tedesco in his place.<\/p>\n
He will also face quite the task to dislodge Sporting CP fullback Lumor Agbenyenu who has featured consistently since the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah as head coach of the Black Stars.<\/p>\n
The man himself does not seem burdened with what the future holds and just wants to enjoy his football now that his injury nightmare is over.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that in the next few days I will become an option for the coach but he will decide when it\u2019s the right time.<\/p>\n

Despite a number of setbacks during the recovery process,he insists that both the physical and psychological burden that accompanies a long term injury of this nature are firmly behind him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe injury doesn\u2019t give me anymore problems, it doesn\u2019t hurt me anymore and even mentally it doesn\u2019t affect me.\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
He is expected to play a role as Schalke look to make an appearance in the DFB-Pokal final.<\/p>\n
