{"id":399166,"date":"2018-02-07T06:46:24","date_gmt":"2018-02-07T06:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=399166"},"modified":"2018-02-07T13:38:53","modified_gmt":"2018-02-07T13:38:53","slug":"23-yr-old-man-arrested-with-young-boys-head","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=399166","title":{"rendered":"23-yr old man arrested with young boy&#8217;s head"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Agona Nkwanta District Police Command on Tuesday night arrested 23-year-old\u00a0Alex Tetteh for possessing a human head, believed to be that of a young boy.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was arrested by the people of Sankro, a village near Dixcove when he was searching for a potential buyer of the human part.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;PvyaU3IQRwNAvm3WOWswpxSvjTacPMcQ&#8221;]The Western Regional Police PRO, ASP Olivia Adiku, told Takoradi-based Skyypower FM that the suspect had attempted to sell the human head to a spiritualist around 5:15 pm on Tuesday, February 6.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the spiritualist became suspicious and raised an alarm, and with the help of other residents ,the suspect was arrested and handed over to the police.<\/p>\n<p>When interrogated by the police, the suspect, Alex Tetteh, claimed to have decapitated a boy, believed to be twelve [12] years at Bogoso with two accomplices.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect has since been transferred to the Regional Police Command at Sekondi pending further investigations, while the human head concealed in a black polythene bag has been conveyed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boy identified<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One Peter Tetteh, from Bogoso in the Prestea Huni Valley District of the Western Region, has identified the head as his 12-year-old son, Ebenezer Tetteh, a student of Grace International School at Bogoso.<\/p>\n<p>Reports say a number of residents in Bogoso flooded the Bogoso Police station in fear and shock.<\/p>\n<p>Sources from the school indicate that the deceased was seen in the school in the morning but after some students were sacked for the non-payment of school fees, he may have left.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to the father of the beheaded boy, his son has paid his fees in full.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crime and rituals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This arrest follows the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2018\/02\/04\/police-retrieve-human-head-shrine-arrest-4-suspects\/\">police uncovering<\/a><\/strong><\/span> a shrine at Akatapo, a village near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, where it is suspected that some criminals fortify themselves before undertaking in illegal operations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-399172\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Suspects-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"635\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Suspects-1.jpg 462w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Suspects-1-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Four persons were arrested at the shrine during the swoop and the police also retrieved a human head in a black polythene bag which had been placed on one of the idols at the shrine.<\/p>\n<p>The human head, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, was found with a telephone number written on a piece of paper and tied around it.<\/p>\n<p>The fetish priest and owner of the shrine is currently on the run and is alleged to have been engaged in several rituals, especially money doubling rituals, for his clients.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Obrempong Yaw Ampofo\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Agona Nkwanta District Police Command on Tuesday night arrested 23-year-old\u00a0Alex Tetteh for possessing a human head, believed to be that of a young boy.
