{"id":379875,"date":"2017-12-04T10:12:55","date_gmt":"2017-12-04T10:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=379875"},"modified":"2017-12-04T10:12:55","modified_gmt":"2017-12-04T10:12:55","slug":"black-maidens-return-home-gambia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=379875","title":{"rendered":"Black Maidens return home from Gambia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana\u2019s U-17 female team, the Black Maidens, landed in Accra on Sunday from Banjul after defeating Gambia 5-1 in the first leg of the first round of the qualifiers for the 2018 Women\u2019s U-17 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The Maidens dominated the tie thanks for four goals from captain Mukarama Abdulai and one from Nina Norshie.<\/p>\n<p>The result puts Ghana in a good place ahead of the second leg which will be played in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Head coach of the team, Evans Adotey, was very pleased with the output of the team in Gambia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very proud of my team because we kept our ambitions reasonable in the aspect of securing victory. I played against a very good side although the scoreline was large.
