{"id":375116,"date":"2017-11-18T18:53:07","date_gmt":"2017-11-18T18:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=375116"},"modified":"2017-11-18T18:55:21","modified_gmt":"2017-11-18T18:55:21","slug":"mahama-mourns-asempa-fms-kaba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=375116","title":{"rendered":"Mahama mourns Asempa FM&#8217;s KABA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former President John Mahama, has joined Ghanaians to eulogize the late Asempa FM presenter,\u00a0Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, popularly known\u00a0as KABA.<\/p>\n<p>John Mahama, who encountered the journalist many times while serving in office, said he was shocked to receive the news about his passing.<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post on Saturday evening, John Mahama expressed his condolence to the family of the former broadcaster and the media fraternity.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A sad day for us all.\u00a0Received the shocking news of the passing of KABA.\u00a0My condolences to the family, MBG and the media fraternity,&#8221; he posted on his Facebook wall.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-374977 \" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/kaba.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"541\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/kaba.jpg 471w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/kaba-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The host of Asempa FM\u2019s\u00a0late\u00a0afternoon political show, \u2018Eko Sii Sen\u2019 passed away during the early hours of Saturday, November 18, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of his sudden death is unclear, but there are reports he may have suffered some form of attack from a health condition.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from his employers, Multimedia Group, said their Chief Executive Officer, Kwasi Twum, led management and staff of the Group to his residence shortly after the news of his death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About KABA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KABA has been with Asempa FM since 2008. Prior to joining the Multimedia Group, KABA had worked with Top Radio from 2004 \u2013 2008.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster was a trained teacher at the University of Cape Coast after which he moved to the Ghana Institute of Journalism for Communications Studies.<\/p>\n<p>He later enrolled at the University of Ghana to study Political Science.
