{"id":372882,"date":"2017-11-12T09:12:57","date_gmt":"2017-11-12T09:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=372882"},"modified":"2017-11-12T09:12:57","modified_gmt":"2017-11-12T09:12:57","slug":"ive-not-heard-obrafuors-diss-song-yet-sarkodie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=372882","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019ve not heard Obrafuor\u2019s \u2018diss\u2019 song yet \u2013 Sarkodie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rapper Sarkodie has responded to speculations of a seeming rift between him and his \u2018godfather\u2019 Obrafuor.<\/p>\n<p>At the launch of the 2017 Rapperholic Concert at the Multichoice office in Accra on Friday, the \u2018Hightest\u2019 rapper in a reply to a question by Frank Williams of Angel TV, dispelled claims that there was a beef between him and the Rap Executioner.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, he has not even heard the song and doesn\u2019t know what it talks about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve not heard it and I don\u2019t know what it talks about but think there can be any beef between us. Just before I came here, Hammer of the Last 2 even suggested to me that he wanted me to do a full album with Obrafuor. So there\u2019s nothing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sarkodie, Obrafuor is a legend whom he would not dare have a beef with. He said if there was a problem, Obrafuor would call him personally.<\/p>\n<p>This comes few days after Obrafuor had released two songs, \u2018Kasahari\u2019 and \u2018No Vote\u2019 to \u201cwhip some rappers in line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Most people have interpreted the \u2018Kasahari\u2019 track to be a \u2018diss\u2019 track to Sarkodie because Obrafour\u00a0a few years ago featured\u00a0Sarkodie\u00a0on a song called \u2018Hiplife\u2019 where he asked Sarkodie to touch his crown and promised to give to him if he worked hard.<\/p>\n<p>Coming back with a song to claim his place in the industry, alluding to a dip in the performance of the one that touched his crown and his ilk, is the reason many have described it as a jab at Sarkodie, his heir apparent.<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, Obrafuor said on \u2018Celebrity Radar\u2019 on Citi 97.3 FM that the song was not directed at Sarkodie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf people want to misrepresent you, it doesn\u2019t matter how much explanation you give. I did not mention Sarkodie\u2019s name.
