[Report]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five\u00a0years ago today [Tuesday], what started as a very normal day, ended as one of the tragic moments Ghanaians\u00a0have not forgotten.<\/p>\n<p>14 people died and several others were maimed when the six-storey Melcom shopping mall at Achimota in Accra\u00a0collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>This shook the nation to the core and even caught the attention of international media.<\/p>\n<p>The then President, John Mahama, described the accident as needless, and promised drastic measures would be taken to avert any such future disaster.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, the cycle unfortunately continues.
