Director of IMANI Ghana, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe says the Free Senior High School policy is a not timely intervention, considering the current economic challenges that Ghana is bedeviled with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not the time to roll out this policy, and even if it was time, the way it was even announced shows a certain kind of unpreparedness, \u201che emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>In his opinion, <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"cb841ba2-e14c-4b2e-9f8f-d532bc803435\">government<\/span> should have engaged in broader discussion before launching out such a policy.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Eyewitness News, he stated that &#8220;In any forward looking society that wants to undertake a policy with systemic implications or development, one would have thought that this would have been a matter that the Sector Ministry (Ministry of Education) would discuss with stakeholders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the fundamentals going forward have been affected by the way the <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"de0fa0fe-9017-4399-b3c2-3d15240ee910\">cedi<\/span> is already performing<span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"480b2aad-8e2c-4337-9540-ccef62af12c6\"> \u2026<\/span>taking into consideration this policy<span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"858f6789-16d4-49ad-9f2c-be80204f3b74\"> ,<\/span>there are issues that would suffer in the education sector,\u201d he further explained.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated that unwillingness of Ghanaian politicians to test their policies before carrying them out was a contributing factor to a failure of most of their policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the things that is fundamentally wrong with Ghanaian politicians is that they have big dreams, but don\u2019t want to test their policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"571464fd-5fe5-4fc3-9ed5-21ebe5220f27\">Dramani<\/span> <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"cc1d57a0-380c-4ccf-8b77-3d504b11b0d6\">Mahama<\/span> in his state of the nation address last Tuesday, revealed government&#8217;s plans of implementing the Free SHS policy.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"2acdf466-57c2-41de-8646-42ce304bf2b3\">Government<\/span> on Monday, cut sod for construction work to begin <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"
