{"id":345075,"date":"2017-08-15T13:59:19","date_gmt":"2017-08-15T13:59:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=345075"},"modified":"2017-08-15T13:59:19","modified_gmt":"2017-08-15T13:59:19","slug":"tiger-woods-had-five-drugs-in-system-at-time-of-arrest-toxicology-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=345075","title":{"rendered":"Tiger Woods had five drugs in system at time of arrest &#8211; toxicology report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"story-body\" class=\"story-body sp-story-body gel-body-copy\">\n<p class=\"sp-story-body__introduction\">Tiger Woods had five different drugs in his system when he was\u00a0arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in May, according to a\u00a0toxicology report.<i class=\"sp-story-body__external-link-icon gelicon gelicon--external\"><\/i><\/p>\n<p>A urine test revealed a mixture of strong painkillers, sleep and anxiety drugs and THC, which is a chemical component of marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>The former world number one, 41, sought\u00a0&#8220;professional help&#8221;\u00a0after his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The 14-time major winner\u00a0pleaded not guilty\u00a0to the DUI charge last week.<\/p>\n<p>Woods, who is recovering from a fourth back operation, is now expected to admit a lesser charge of reckless driving and enter a 12-month probation programme.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As I previously said, I received professional help to manage my medications,&#8221; said Woods on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Recently, I had been trying on my own to treat my back pain and a sleep disorder, including insomnia, but I realise now it was a mistake to do this without medical assistance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>American Woods was arrested near his Florida home on 29 May, after police found him asleep in his car on the side of the road.<\/p>\n<p>He denied alcohol was involved and said it was down to &#8220;an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The toxicology results, made public by the Palm Beach County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, showed the presence of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hydrocodone (Vicodin)<\/li>\n<li>Hydromorphone (Dilaudid)<\/li>\n<li>Alprazolam (Xanax)<\/li>\n<li>Zolpidem (Ambien)<\/li>\n<li>Delta-9 carboxy THC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Woods has not won a tournament since 2013, while his title drought in major championships dates back to 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Last December, he returned to action after 15 months out injured but has not played since his back problems recurred in February.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: BBC<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<footer id=\"story-footer\" class=\"story-footer\">\n<div class=\"clearfix gel-mb+\"><\/div>\n<\/footer>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tiger Woods had five different drugs in his system when he was\u00a0arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in May, according to a\u00a0toxicology report.
