Staff\u00a0working at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital’s Pharmacy Department\u00a0 are\u00a0demanding the immediate withdrawal of\u00a0letters asking heads of the unit to proceed on leave to “maintain calm and industrial harmony” at the hospital.<\/p>\n
They say the Board Chairman, Eddie Annan\u00a0has written three of their \u00a0heads of department asking them to proceed on leave while the hospital conducts a forensic audit at the department.<\/p>\n
The three persons who are also union leaders are Stephen Corquaye, Raymond Tetteh and Eric Kyei.<\/p>\n
The staff had earlier on Tuesday locked up the central pharmacy and demonstrated over the said letters which they describe as “another example of selective intimidation and victimization.<\/p>\n
A letter written to the management of the hospital by the pharmacists also said ” the listed individuals had nothing specific to do with\u00a0drug procurement and stocking taking processes.”<\/p>\n
The letter also states that the staff are not against the forensic audit but are determined to\u00a0ensure proper processes due processes are adhered to.<\/p>\n
The three recently accused the acting Chief Executive of the hospital, Rev Albert Botchway, the board chairman, Eddie Annan and the management of the hospital of mismanaging the internally generated funds of the hospital.<\/p>\n
The three also petitioned President John Mahama over the poor management of the hospital by the CEO and the board chairman.<\/p>\n
