The \u00a0thirty-seven year old father who is suspected to have slashed the throat of his three year-old son in a village near Kpeve in the Volta region, will be arraigned before court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Gideon Abotsi, who is a farmer, was alleged to have \u00a0murdered his son on Friday in the full glare of his wife and other children.<\/p>\n
Early reports indicate that the suspect slashed his son\u2019s throat with a machete after he had been denied sex by his wife.<\/p>\n
The police are still conducting investigations into the matter, however, the South Dayi district Commander-of-Police DSP Jonas Agbevam has told Graphic Online that Gideon Abotsi is suspected to have been under the influence of Indian hemp.<\/p>\n
DSP Jonas Agbevam speaking to Citi News,<\/b> confirmed that the suspect would be arraigned before court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The police will also visit the suspect\u2019s home in Kpeyibome for witness statements from his wife and neighbours who may have seen the crime being committed.<\/p>\n
