Mahama&#8217;s murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 12-year old boy has been arrested at Manso Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region in connection with the killing of Captain Maxwell Mahama.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested earlier on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;ndHVpTv0ScefqvZ3yDgnyNhlvjAZnsVD&#8221;]The latest arrest brings the total number of\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/06\/03\/7-arrested-in-ashanti-region-over-capt-mahamas-death\/\"><strong>arrested suspects<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0taken into police custody today in the Ashanti Region to eight.<\/p>\n<p>The police have so far arrested about 17 suspects and have vowed to arrest all perpetrators involved in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the arrest to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Juliana Obeng, said the suspect will soon be transferred to the Central Region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust some few hours ago I had confirmation that a twelve year old boy has been arrested at Manso Nkwanta again in connection with the murder of Captain Mahama. So we are going to add him to the seven that we have and hand them over to the Central Regional Police Command to continue with the interrogation,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama was lynched by some residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region after being mistaken for an armed robber.<\/p>\n<p>The late Captain and his colleagues from the 5<sup>th<\/sup> Infantry Battalion were deployed to fight illegal miners in the area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capt.
