{"id":32228,"date":"2014-07-16T11:34:51","date_gmt":"2014-07-16T11:34:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=32228"},"modified":"2014-07-16T11:34:51","modified_gmt":"2014-07-16T11:34:51","slug":"police-asks-guta-to-open-shops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=32228","title":{"rendered":"Police asks GUTA to open shops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ashanti Regional command of the Ghana Police Service says it will ensure that shops belonging to Nigerian retailers that were locked up on Monday are re-opened.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Suame Spare Parts Dealers Association locked up shops belonging to Nigerian retailers on Monday July 14, 2014 accusing them of trading in retail spaces reserved for Ghanaians.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a0PRO of the Ashanti regional police command, ASP Yussif Tanko informed <b>Citi News<\/b> that they had the situation under control.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cwe held a meeting with them and made them understand that it is not lawful to close the shops of those whom they think were infringing on the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe told them to open the shops for the people to continue with their activities till such a time that the issue will be resolved according to law.
