{"id":317605,"date":"2017-05-09T12:01:44","date_gmt":"2017-05-09T12:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=317605"},"modified":"2017-05-09T12:01:44","modified_gmt":"2017-05-09T12:01:44","slug":"arrest-bugri-naabu-or-face-our-wrath-free-gregory-afoko-movement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=317605","title":{"rendered":"Arrest Bugri Naabu or face our wrath \u2013 Free Gregory Afoko Movement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group of sympathizers of the embattled brother of former NPP chairman, Gregory Afoko have called for the immediate arrest of the party\u2019s Northern Regional chairman, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/05\/09\/minister-threatens-to-sue-bugri-naabu-for-defamation\/\">Daniel Bugri Naabu<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The call comes after Mr. Naabu said in a radio interview that the Upper East Regional minister, Rockson Bukari and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba were \u201cdeeply\u201d involved in the murder of the NPP\u2019s former Upper East regional chairman, Adams Mahama.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;9OYWf9vBEkNW5fhPN0VJcDKQIUWtKf0I&#8221;]According to the group, known as the Free Gregory Afoko Movement, the arrest of Bugri Naabu will help unravel the mystery surrounding the gruesome murder of the former chairman.<\/p>\n<p>Gregory Afoko is currently standing trial for the murder of Adams Mahama after preliminary investigations linked him to the crime.<\/p>\n<p>Adams Mahama suffered an acid attack on May 20, 2015, and died after sustaining extensive acid burns and acute respiratory distress syndrome, according to the autopsy report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a movement, we feel the arrest and incarceration of\u00a0 our brother and friend, Mr.\u00a0 Gregory Afoko was unfortunate and in a bad taste.
