{"id":31589,"date":"2014-07-14T07:59:24","date_gmt":"2014-07-14T07:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=31589"},"modified":"2014-07-14T07:59:24","modified_gmt":"2014-07-14T07:59:24","slug":"will-i-am-celebrates-10th-uk-number-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=31589","title":{"rendered":"Will.i.am celebrates 10th UK number one"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"story_continues_1\">Rapper Will.i.am has scored his 10th UK number one single, as It&#8217;s My Birthday tops the official chart.<\/p>\n<p>The song, featuring 17-year-old singer Cody Wise, follows hits such as Scream and Shout, This Is Love and I Gotta Feeling, with his band Black Eyed Peas.<\/p>\n<p>The Voice judge knocked last week&#8217;s number one, Ariana Grande&#8217;s Problem, down to number two, while Ella Henderson&#8217;s Ghost fell to three.<\/p>\n<p>In the album chart, Ed Sheeran spent a third week in the peak position.<\/p>\n<p id=\"story_continues_2\">His second album, X (pronounced multiply), held off challenges from the Manic Street Preachers and Dolly Parton to retain the crown.<\/p>\n<p>The record, featuring the hit single Sing, has sold more than 327,000 copies to date, according to the Official Chart Company.<\/p>\n<p>It is also number two in the US, having debuted at the top spot in its opening week.<\/p>\n<p>Further down the chart, Nicola Benedetti&#8217;s Homecoming entered at 19, to make her the first British classical violinist to crack the UK Top 20 since Vanessa Mae in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>The musician, who will perform at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, said: &#8220;I am absolutely thrilled to have reached the Top 20, not something a classical artist ever expects.&#8221;<\/p>\n<table>\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"50%\" \/>\n<col width=\"50%\" \/><\/colgroup>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th colspan=\"2\">\n<h2>Official UK Top 10 &#8211;
