{"id":314386,"date":"2017-04-27T13:00:20","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T13:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=314386"},"modified":"2017-04-27T13:00:20","modified_gmt":"2017-04-27T13:00:20","slug":"savelugu-mp-supports-kanshegu-rainstorm-disaster-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=314386","title":{"rendered":"Savelugu MP supports Kanshegu rainstorm disaster victims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Member of Parliament for the Savelugu Constituency in the Northern Region, Mohammed Abdul Samed Gunu, has donated several packets of roofing sheets to victims of a rainstorm that hit the Kanshegu community.<\/p>\n<p>The disaster displaced hundreds of residents, and caused damage to properties worth thousands of cedis.<\/p>\n<p>The Savelugu Legislator empathized with the victims and promised to help restore their\u00a0loses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-314388 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/savelugu-mp-1.jpg\" alt=\"savelugu-mp-1\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><br \/>\nHe implored his constituents to plant trees in their neighborhood to serve as windbreaks. Mohammed Abdul Samed Gunu further donated a large quantity of hand gloves and roofing sheets to the Pong Tamale health post.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Savelugu-Nantong District Police Command<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Abdul Samed Gunu also presented a desktop computer and its accessories to the District Police Command. He commended security operatives in the area for their immeasurable contribution to the area\u2019s peaceful co-existence at the 2016 polls.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-314390 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/savelugu-mp-3.jpg\" alt=\"savelugu-mp-3\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He urged the police to intensify their patrols to avert any bloodbath following the announcement of names of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.<\/p>\n<p>He reaffirmed his commitment to partner with the municipal assembly to provide decent accommodation for the police personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The Savelugu-Nantong District Police Commander, ASP Peter Tawiah thanked the MP for his support.
